MIL-PRF-23377 TY I, Cl C2 Primer is a two component, corrosion inhibiting, polyamide primer. MIL-PRF-23377K offers excellent corrosion and chemical resistance over properly prepared aluminum and steel substrates. This primer meets Type 1 (standard pigments), Class C2 (strontium chromate) and was designed to be topcoated with urethane or epoxy topcoats.
MIL-PRF-23377 TY II, Cl C2 is a two component, corrosion inhibiting, polyamide primer. This epoxy primer offers excellent corrosion and chemical resistance over properly prepared aluminum and steel substrates. This primer meets Type I I , (Low Infrared), Class C2- Strontium Chromate based corrosion inhibitors, and was designed to be topcoated.

MIL-PRF-23377K Specification, Types, & Classes
This specification covers corrosion inhibiting, chemical and solvent resistant, solvent-borne, high-solids epoxy primer coatings that have a maximum volatile organic compound (VOC) content of 340 grams per liter (g/L)(2.8 pounds per gallon [lb/gal]).
Classification. The primer coatings are of the following types and classes, as specified:

Type II – Low infrared reflective pigments

Class C1 – Barium chromate based corrosion inhibitors
Class C2 – Strontium chromate based corrosion inhibitors
