MIL-PRF-85285 TY I, Cl H is a two component, High Solids, Aliphatic Polyurethane Coating. This coating is resistant to chemicals, solvents and abrasion. This product is specially formulated for excellent ultraviolet ray resistance and superior exterior durability. MIL-PRF-85285E has excellent adhesion to most substrates and is recommended for applications where a tough, chemical resistant coating is required
MIL-PRF-85285 TY II, Cl H A low VOC content of 340 g/l (max), this two component, High Solids, Aliphatic Polyurethane Coating is resistant to chemicals, solvents and abrasion. This product is specially formulated for excellent ultraviolet ray resistance and superior exterior durability. Type II is generally used for support equipment application.
MIL-PRF-85285 TY IV, Cl H is a two component, high solids, aliphatic polyurethane coating that is designed for aircraft application with extended weatherability. This coating is resistant to chemicals, solvents and abrasion. This product is specially formulated for excellent ultraviolet ray resistance and superior exterior durability.
MIL-PRF-85285E Ty III Cl W A two-component aliphatic, high solids, low-VOC (<50G/L), waterborne polyester polyurethane coating. This chemically cured waterborne polyurethane forms a film that is resistant to chemicals, solvents and abrasion. This product has excellent adhesion to most substrates and is recommended for heavy duty industrial applications where a tough, chemical resistant coating is required.
MIL-PRF-85285E Specification, Types, & Classes
This specification covers the requirements for polyurethane coating with a maximum volatile organic compound (VOC) and maximum volatile organic hazardous air pollutants (VOHAPs). The coating is furnished in kit form.
Classification. The coating covered by this specification is divided into the following types and classes
Types The types of coatings are as follows:
Type I – Aircraft application (420 grams/liter g/l maximum VOC content)
Type II – Support equipment application (340 g/l maximum VOC content)
Type III – Aircraft and support equipment application (50 g/1 maximum VOC content)
Type IV – Aircraft application with extended weatherability(420 g/l maximum VOC content)
Classes The classes of coatings are as follows:
Class H – High-solids formulation
Class W – Water-borne formulation
